Would a dual electric fan set up that's 36 wide by 21 tall work in either a 81 C10 truck or 82 K5 Blazer?

Not sure on the dimensions. You would have to measure your radiator width. I have a dual fan setup on my stock replacement radiator and I had no fitment issues. There again i don't know dimensions off the top of my head

Just curious, why would you need an electric fan? Are you not using the stock fan? All of my 3 squares had no cooling problems with stock 350 or 454 engines, and stock fan setup, even in the desert heat.

Yes you could but you need to think of a figure eight shape slanted at a 45 degree angle......one fan in the upper left and the other in the lower right................

I have two fans straight across from each other.

I see slightly above normal temps when I had a single fan right in the middle. And I have a built .40 over sbc. No cooling issues now and I have a temp sensor wired in with it.

The two speed Lincoln Mark VIII fans pull insane amounts of air when mounted inside a stock fan shroud.
Do a search for Mark VIII fan.

I have a couple of Mark III fans which I plan to install with a Volvo fan relay I also scored from form the salvage yard............

I use Ford Windstar dual fans. They fit and work awesome.

My electric setup is a dual fan.. outside dimensions are 16x26..that's about as big as I could put on it ..there's about 1" gap around the outside of it.

First gen Windstar, 94-98. I actually flipped mine so they are mounted upside down, fit better that way in my opinion.

Yes, it's not ideal but wouldn't fit in front of radiator. It's routed through radiator first, then to cooler. I swapped a 4L80E in and it's there for extra insurance.

Mark VIII fans are not 2-speed. They can be ran as multi-speed but that requires a custom control harness. There is a shunt between the low and high speed windings making the Mark VIII fans single high speed. The Volvo relay shouldn't be used with them-now, you can run a T-Bird or Taurus dual speed fan with the Volvo relay. Ive so ran the 2-speed Crown Vic fans with them also.
