PO painted over data plate - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Previous owner painted over the data plate on LT kick panel, I can see the raised letters of the info still on the plate, but the question is, is there any way to remove the paint that will leave the information intact?

Yes, put a small drop of break fluid on one spot and see if that will lift the paint.
