Felpro 1 piece pan gasket install with engine in place!
I hate leaks!!!!! I decided I needed to do something about the 4 piece pan gasket, which I narrowed down to leaking from the passenger side dipstick area, and the rear lip.
I decided I didn't want or need to pull the engine, or raise it up at all. I'm using pan rails, so there wasn't any distortion around the pan bolt holes. I purchased a Felpro OS34510T, the kind that comes with the bolts. The lip was cleaned with acetone, and the gasket was flexible enough to slide under the pan and around the outside of it, it dropped in place with just a dab of RTV at the front and rear joints. After I sealed it back up, I took the truck for a few long drives. It's been a week and there are no leaks from the pan gasket at all! |

Thank you.
