Tachometer not working
Hello K5 Team!!! I have a 78 blazer for awhile. The tachomemter and all the gauges wasn't working. I replaced all the gauges and an electrical board. Some of the gauges is working- the fuel pump and temperature works but the volts went too high #18 and oil pressure went too high as well. the tachometer still not working-- I checked the wiring-- one wire connect to the circuit board. One wire to grounds. Another wire went though the hood and connected with the capitctor. The capitctor isn't work-- according to the NAPA's rep. that the part I have is not for tachomemter?? I checked the distributor as well but there is no wires to the gauge. What do I need to do make it work? Right now, what we have is the brown wire from tachometer through the hood is connected to capitctor. I have attached the pictures of tachomemter wire, distributor and capitctor. Thanks for helping me out!

Re: Tachometer not working
If it's a factory tach, the three wires should go like this: Red goes to an Ignition + slot on the fusebox, Black goes to the a ground junction block above the parking brake, and the brown plugs into the tach terminal on the distributor.
