I changed wheels.
I got a chance to sell the American TT's so I threw the 7" rally's back on my LB Cheyenne Super. I'm not sure what I will do about wheels. My wife and friends have threatened to dis-own me for putting whitewalls on it. I have 8" rallys in both white and argent silver. I even thought about putting the wheel covers back on it. The pics I took tonight are terrible as usual.

Not a fan of those 5 spoke wheels. The Rallyes would look good in silver with BFG Radial T/A's with raised white letters.

These were 275/60/15 BFG T/A's, but they were 5 spoke wheels too.

Do what I had planned for a long time, but haven't done yet. Stay with the low wide profile but with a stock look. Call Diamondback Classics and have them make you a set the size you want with narrow whitewalls, mount those on 8" rallyes, and pop the wheel covers on. It will look stock, yet sit tougher. It will look sexy but not like it's trying. I even think your nay-sayers will shush their mouths if you go ahead and do it. Factory road hugger look.

I'd keep the white rallys. If it were my truck I would put some raised white letter tires in place of the whitewalls, but I might be biased since I have a similar setup on my truck. Maybe I should get some trim rings for my wheels, yours look really good...

The rallyes look great but I would run a thin whitewall rather than the medium width you have, white letters look like an advertisement to me. The five spokes would fall low on my list. FWIW

If I get a narrow white wall, I will have to have it made. This is the narrowest whitewall, and widest tire I could find.
I have a set of wheelcovers almost ready to go. I'm so fickle, I agree with everybody. In the 27 years I've the truck, I've tried every combo mentioned, and probably will again......and my wife still says she loves me.

www.diamondbackclassics.com They'll make your 3/8" narrow whites in 60/70 series in 275-295 or whatever you want. I only like wheelcovers with whitewalls. Just how it was meant to be, whitewalls w/wheel covers and hubcaps w/blackwalls...fancy/plain
I keep several options on hand for my trucks. Right now in 5-lug (for '67) I have sets of 8" and 6.5" steelies, as well as 8" and 7" rallyes. I've been watching for an 8"/10" combination in aluminum slots, and want to buy a pr. of 10" steelies for drag radials and get a set of big/little mags like Cragar SSs, or one of the Torque Thrusts. Either mags or chrome reverse. I just want at least one set for flashy chromey look. In 8-lug (for '72) I have 16 x 8 steelies, 9.75 x 16.5 aluminum slots, and 16 x 7 Accuride (steelies). I sold off my 6-lugs & 8-lug 16.5 collection of 8.25" or 9.75" steelies and cast aluminum. I'm not fickle. I just have a thing for wheels... and they're so easy to change! Good thing I only like old school. I have to draw some sort of line somewhere!

Larry, switch it up now and then. As they say "variety is the spice of life". Reminds me of my model car building days as a kid. With an AMT 3 in 1 kit i could change it up now and then.

I have sold the last two sets of tires and wheels when they got about four years old, because the tires don't wear out, they just get old.
The Firestone Sup-R-Belt bias ply tires I have mounted on argent silver 7" rally's were mounted 25 years ago. I don't know how old they were when I put them on. I have them stored in a dark room, as I store all my tires. I may pull the 20's off the Blazer and run them a while. BTW, Boog, I will be down that way before long, I'll try to give you some notice, and we will have that lunch I mentioned a while back.

I would lose the white walls, the rallys i think should be ether the red or even black. In all honesty i like the other rims better.
