88+ Parts?

I know we've concluded the frame is of no use.
Also the rear axle is like a total of 3" wider.
So,
Is there anything of use on the 88+ trucks besides the motor and tranny that we can use on our trucks?

Re: 88+ Parts?

I've seen a lot of the bench seats being used, but being almost 30 years old now most of those are as ratty as the originals.

Re: 88+ Parts?

The bench seats with the integrated seat belts are great. I think thats late 90s early 2000s though...

Re: 88+ Parts?

The steering box will not work unless it is from a '87-'91 R1500. I believe LostMy65 is talking about the '88+ full size trucks.

Yes the brake booster will work. In fact it is on the list of boosters compatible with all of my booster brackets. The master cylinder could also be used if one does not mind the look of those.

As for the fuel tank, I don't know if that will fit under a '63-'72 truck. The '88+ trucks have a much wider frame which means more room between the frame and driveshaft.
