Re: Rpo code?

I don't have RPO codes previous to 1963. A new system started in 63 that had a letter to indicate the group.

This link will provide all I have found so far.

Re: Rpo code?

I have no idea what the "XE" means, but RPO code 431 shows up in two places in the GM Heritage Archives for 60-62 Trucks: once for 1960 Trucks on page 24 of the pdf file (printed pg.23), it is described as "Custom Equipment - 10 through 80 Series".

Code 431 shows up again for 1962 Chevy Trucks on pdf pg.5 (printed pg.3), also described as "Custom Equipment" but includes a few listed items- too many to list here.

Hope this helps, here's the link to the Vehicle Information Kits for Chevy Trucks: https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/gm-...tion-kits.html

Re: Rpo code?

To confirm what's said above , this is from the 1960 truck Data book. I'm assuming you found this code on the data tag under the dash ?

Re: Rpo code?

Yes I did find it on the tag. It also says 235 six. The truck came with dealer installed A/C and must have been a real slug with a 235/AC....
