S10 seats???

I've done some searching through all the seats threads but haven't found what I'm looking for. Essentially, I have a 2001 s10 that I'm parting out with good seats in it. The bench in my c20 is pretty beat up. Looking to put the s10 seats into the c20 but was wondering if anyone has done it before? Just want to know how well it worked out before I attempt it. Thanks!

I pulled the seats from my 96 S10 Blazer, so I don't know how different 96 - 01 are going to be.

I had to drill 4 holes, and add a small spacer on the driver front right bracket, and the passenger side front left bracket. The seats sit level, and do sit quite lower than the stock bench.

I'll post some pictures here later this evening.

Re: S10 seats???

If you look closely, you can see the small wood block spacers i built to level the seat. That corner originally sat on the trans hump in my blazer.

Hope it helps

Re: S10 seats???

Theyre pretty comfy. Im 6 feet, and with the seat all the way back, i have more than enough room. If i remove the fuel tank, i can move back about 3 or 4 more inches.

Beyond that, ive put some miles on these seats since its my daily driver, and i dont regret doing it. If i could only find some nice seat covers though...

Check out www.leatherseats.com

I had a kit from them in one of my old rigs and it was great!
Might be easiest to order by phone, that way you can get just the ones you need for your truck. Tons of options leather wise, and is a factory replacement cover, so it takes a little more time to install, but it looks fantastic when done!

WOW. Those are pricey. I think i'll hold off until I can find a 3rd row from a tahoe...

thanks for the info though!

Re: S10 seats???

They are expensive, but when you look into what it costs to have somebody make real leather covers, or order new factory covers, the price can easily exceed theirs.
That said, it is expensive, but any leather is!
