Re: buddy buckets frame and console
FYI this setup is out of a Dodge. The bucket seat you have listed in another thread matches this setup.

Re: buddy buckets frame and console
The front bar on the frame is also indented slightly, as well as the center leg. Here is a pic. True also on the upholstery pattern.

Re: buddy buckets frame and console
thanks guys, i wasn't sure about the set up. but a question is the center console and seat the same as gm other than the covering? this was actually bolted in a 65 gmc custom cab truck with all 4 bolts fastened down to floorboard. could this be for the 64-66 truck instead? thanks michael

Re: buddy buckets frame and console
you might want to also take a pic of the end bracket with a measuring tape beside it. Looks to be taller.
I bought a set of Dodge buddy's and they are nearly identical and can be made to work in our trucks. I've seen many different end bracket combinations though.

Re: buddy buckets frame and console
They could be out of a 66 GMC, if they bolt directly in to existing floor holes. That frame looked just like the Dodge ones, as did the upholstery.

Re: buddy buckets frame and console
I don't think they are Dodge, the outer side plates are all the way out on the frame and the Dodge outer side plates are 4 or 5" in unless they made a couple of different styles http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1416720957

Re: buddy buckets frame and console
they don't look like dodge. the upper part of the outer bracket on dodge seats are about 5" wide and the tube frame goes thru the bracket. on the one that I have anyway.

Re: buddy buckets frame and console
The frame and center set/console are 66 GMC. The frame is taller and there is no center support the center seat and console are also different, it's a one year only.
I have a 66 GMC with factory buddy buckets and a 68 buddy buckets that I put into a 65.

Re: buddy buckets frame and console
[B]Here's a nice set of driver's side sliders, that are NOT 67-8. Maybe someone can use them putting together that seat. Are they '66?
$60 shipped??? Or trade for 69-72 bucket seat brackets. /B] Last edited by PICKMUP; 11-15-2015 at 11:44 PM. |
