Rims... Should I?

I picked up these rims with center caps today . One of the split rims on my Longhorn is bent and has an annoying shimmy at speed. I'm not too sure how they will look on my truck and I was wondering if anyone has pics of this style rim on their stock truck?

Re: Rims... Should I?

Keep the white wheels and caps. You should be able to find factory 16" steel wheels that are not split rim. All late 70's through the 80's GM used the non split wheels. You can also use wheels off a Ford up to around 2000.

Re: Rims... Should I?

That truck looks way too cool with the stock looking rims and hubcaps. Like mentioned... you can find non-split 16" 8 luggers for your truck.

Just for reference:

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Steel wheels for these things are all over the place.

Re: Rims... Should I?

Ken, you're lucky to have such a beautiful truck in a survivor status.
At the end of the day it's your truck.
Keep her looking pretty like the day she drove off the dealership floor!
Just my 2 cents!

Re: Rims... Should I?

WheelVintiques has some great 16inch steelies. Normally, available in satin black or chrome, but they can do custom, so getting them in white shouldn't be an issue.

I'm running 16x10 black on my K2500 and I love the look. And, stock hubcaps work on them.

The above pic is when I got my truck. Those rims were gone really, really, really fast!

I was on the fence about purchasing them from the get go. I might still wind up using them if I can find some cheap tires to put on them... Just to switch things up every once in a while.

Re: Rims... Should I?

You could always mount them with snow tires and save for winter??

Anything but them split rims...

EDIT: Be more concerned about what you like and not what others think.
