I just don't see how people can let a classic vehicle that was willed to them, go to some stranger. If that's what granny wanted, she'd probably have sold it herself and left money. Our society has become so disposable. It's a damn shame other than I hope it finds a loving and deserving home!

I'm yet to have been left anything by a deceased loved one and I sure like to think it won't end up on CL or eBay if I ever am.

I drive a lot of the old back roads here in east Tn and Ky and have found my fair share of old muscle cars and trucks sitting next to a barn / shed ,out in a pasture and buried in old closed down junk yards (many in the junk yards were pulled in with blown automatics ,keys still in the ignitions) And this time of year when the leaves are down is the time to find them . But many or should I say most are not for sale . They belonged to granpa or a brother thats past and they will let them rust to the ground rather than part with them . I've asked about a super low mile 1978 Z-28 sitting in a yard that I found in 1992 at least a dozen times and it's still not for sale , For many years they kept it covered now it's covered in green mold . It hasn't moved 1" since 1978 when their son died in a tractor accident .

That's a steel. He may regret selling it when he later recalls the good times with his grandpa and grandma in the truck.

Or later when his Fords don't run and he recalls how this one sat forever and all he had to do was pour gas in and charge the battery! That should have converted him right there, and he could have made grandma happy in her grave.

Some people know sentimental value and personal obligation, while others live waiting to inherit

That is a smoking deal in my opinion. I would jump on that like a chicken on a June bug if I was in the market for a new truck.

Re: CL Western North Carolina, 67 c10 (not mine)

I can't understand how someone would let their grandma's truck go either, especially seeing that she left it too him thinking he would appreciate it. The only thing I can appreciate is that he isn't going to let it sit and go to waste, or cut it up to make it something it never was....

Im glad he is going to sell it to someone who will at least get in in good hands to be saved. I have seen so many rust away to nothing waiting for their owners that wont sell but plan on fixin up one day.

Looks like someone scooped it up quick! Or maybe they saw this thread and reconsidered...
