Alternator bracket?

Hello all:

Im getting closer to finishing putting a rebuilt 1978 350 motor into my 67 C10. My issue is finding a new alternator bracket. My old alternator bracket mounted onto the drivers side rams horn. I now have headers and I replaced the old smog heads with 1964 corvette heads, which have no mounting holes. is there a factory bracket that will work or am I looking at fabricating something? Or maybe drilling and tapping the head? (last resort!) Please see the picture and any advice is appreciated!

Re: Alternator bracket?

I used the Alan Grove brackets for my alternator and my AC compressor. They work very nice. They come in unfinished steel, so you will want to paint or powder coat them before installation.

Bracket 213L is probably what you want if that is a short water pump. Mine fit nice except I had to grind a little clearance over the front header tube.

I had 2 sets of that type of bracket and they both broke. I went to the Alan Grove brackets and never looked back
