Re: Another what is this part?

It is a temp sensing unit but what does it fit?

Re: Another what is this part?

Looks later than our trucks, they use a spade type connection.

Re: Another what is this part?

Looks like a temperature sensor for an idiot light dash. Application to our trucks would depend largely on the thread size. If I recall correctly 67-72 threads were 1/2" NPT. Sometime later they changed to 3/8" NPT. Here's a picture of my original.

Agree 100%. However, I assumed the OP's picture is probably an aftermarket replacement. Forgot to mention that in my post. Sorry for any confusion caused.

Re: Another what is this part?

It was in a box that had the faint remains of a GM symbol but not identifiable part number. As for the Chevy may here is a better picture of it it's just a foam mat I bought for my dad for Christmas a few years ago but now I get more use out of it than he does!

Yes our trucks have a blade type connector if they have the analog gauge.

And if the truck has an idiot light for temp (hot) it has this type "shaft" connector ..... as firstowner69 stated.

Re: Another what is this part?

Hard to judge the size from the picture but it kinda looks like the switch in a proportioning valve.
