Power Stop 1 Click Brake Kit?

Does anyone have any experience with these brake kits? The rotors on my 10 Bolt are pretty much shot thanks to the PO's lack of proper maintenance and I need to replace everything. I was originally going to grab some OE rotors with some Wagner Thermoquiet pads like my other vehicles but I saw these 1 click brake kits on RockAuto that have drilled and slotted rotors with matching pads for almost the same price. I like the idea of increasing the stopping power but my main hold up/second question is how do you do the brakes in the future since you can't turn the rotors? Do you just not need to worry about that anymore or are you forced to replace the rotors again?

Here's what I'm talking about in case anybody hasn't heard of them yet: http://www.powerstop.com/product/power-stop-z16-kit/

When is comes to brakes I am not sure I would use price as a way to shop. I would only buy the best components available, this is your life we are talking about, and maybe someone elses. I would look for the highest quality products that you can get. I do know everyone has a budget that we must stick to, so the best parts are not always and option. Just one guys opinion.

I have used powerstop on other vehicles without issue. Currently my father in law mother in law and my wife are running powerstop brakes.

I would agree to a certain extent about avoiding cheap components in critical areas but these kits aren't exactly cheap knock offs with no reputation. They have good to excellent reviews on every site I've checked so far I just haven't seen anyone run them on older vehicles like ours yet (which is why I was asking on here). If they are as good or better for the same price as OE replacements why wouldn't someone want to upgrade?

Thanks for sharing your experience. Have you/they had to do a brake job since going this route? I'm curious how well everything has held up and what you wound up doing with the rotors (ie resurfacing).

No brake jobs of any kind. Father in law has been a year and he a brake slammer lol. Wife has been about 8 months and she is a brake slammer lol. Mother in law had been 2 months and she drives normal. I know my wife and father in law both commented how great the vehicles stopped after putting the kits on. And my wife and father in law like to complain so..... Haha
Missed your last question didn't do anything took out of box and installed. They have a break in procedure for the pads to seat to the rotors. Nice setup.

Then look at pad composition and calipers upgrades. Rotors won't make you stop any faster unless they get bigger in diameter

Yes, they sell lots of dangerous brake parts at stores.

I'm doing the H3 brake upgrade while I'm at it so the new H3 rotors will be 12.4" vs the stock 11.85" as well as going to a 4 piston caliper with a rotor over hub setup. I thought since I'm already doing the newer style brakes that upgrading the rotors made sense. Especially when there's only a $20-30 price difference over going with an OE setup.

I thought you couldn't turn/resurface the drilled and slotted rotors? I've never had a set before so I was going off of what I was told a while back...

Re: Power Stop 1 Click Brake Kit?

I thought the same thing for years until I started working at my current job which is a high end used car dealer. All porsche's have drilled rotors along with most sport package european cars and the shop we use turns them all the time. Kinda blew my mind the first time I noticed him doing it.
