Looking for a engine crossmemeber for a '68 GMC 3/4, 4x4

I'm in the middle of swapping out a 305 V6 and putting in a 350. I'm staying with the original 465/NP205 combination. I have found that the engine crossmembers are different for the V6's and V8's. I was thinking of just finding some 2WD engine purches and bolting them up to the old crossmember and frame, but from the looks of things I'm not sure that the motor will sit level. If anyone as some information for me about this or has a engine crossmember that will fit, please let me know. Anything would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Aaron Stanford

I think that what you need is referred to by most as the engine cradle which is like a cross member engine stands combined. I did not realize the v-6's were different, but it stands to reason they would be.

You should be able to find one easily enough. Because of the weight, you may want to look locally and the 67-72 4x4's will be the same, (1/2 & 3/4 ton).

People keep asking for these, so I hope they are buying them. Randy & Jose hurry up and run out so I can sell a couple. I am not going any lower than you, so I can wait.

If you haven't bought one from randy yet I'm pulling the engine out of a '69 CST/20 4x4, it was a muncie/rockwell combo but should still have the same engine crossmember. I can do $50 shipped on it, not to undercut randy but I needs the cash bad right now. My 72 needs parts to make it non-ugly!

I really don't know, I haven't taken it apart. I there is a hole in the bottom of the oil pan. I think that i might have grenaded her. The heads, intake, carb, water pump that stuff is still on it and should be could. I do know after it happened it still ran. I was curious to see if it would, and went out there pulled the choke a little and she fired right up. I didn't let it go long, and didn't drive it. I was going to take it apart after I got this other motor in and running and had a little free time. Let me know what you are looking for and i'll see what i can do for you.

Thanks,
Aaron Stanford
