Painted 71 grille shell
I would like to see a painted grille shell on a 71. Who's got one?

Re: Painted 71 grille shell
The grille shell on my 72 is painted, but I am considering switching it to chrome when I get around to switching back to the stock grille insert. Headlight buckets are painted, too.

Re: Painted 71 grille shell
I used chrome powder coat on mine, I was going to polish mine, but decided to use my left over chrome powder I had from some earlier parts I coated. Since I had to work out some of the dings, the powder coat filled the fine sanding swirls real nice. Here's a link to my build..see post #42 for pictures of the whole grill
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=653816&page=2 It turned out real nice, and it will hold me over till I can buy a nice "Chrome" one.... Enjoy! Last edited by snipescastle2; 11-27-2015 at 08:00 PM. Reason: adding |
