Front Bumper Install

I am trying to install a new chrome front bumper. However, the bumper looks like it is tweaked. One side (passenger side) is raised about 3/4 inch off the grill and fender where as the driver side is just a little bit above it, barely touching the grill/fender. It is a noticeable difference. Was wondering where is the proper position of the bumper because both sides look like it could possibly be the proper position.

I had to have the frame straightened because of an accident so i am worried maybe the mounts are off.

If someone has the time maybe can send pics or measurements of their 67/68. I would greatly appreciate it

Re: Front Bumper Install

The last bumper I bought was that way. I spent hours trying to figure out how to get it straight and never did. I had some work done to my truck and the shop remounted the bumper. They used quite a few shims to get it straight.

Re: Front Bumper Install

I just put mine a back on again after 45 years of unknown driving and a couple of dorks taping the front chrome.

Spun a couple of those fancy bumper bolts in the process, now my rig don't rattle any moe. Dents still there too, just like a pure dental smily!
