What aluminum gas tank? Boyd's or Performance Online

Decided to re locate the tank on my sons 79 C10, I would feel better not having the side tank, and it needs a new tank anyways.

I like the Boyds and Performances.

Do you guys have a preference? I know I will have to remove the spare tire cross member, Im looking for ease of application, I seen Performances is drop in but I cant find any install threads on the Boyds.

Thanks

I have the POL tank in my '87. It's a nice quality piece, and the only ding I would give it is that it's not baffled. The fuel level gauge (aftermarket) swings all over when you're driving. If you go with theirs, you may want to consider having it customized to bring the fuel fill closer to the rear of the truck. With mine, I can drop the tailgate, keep the bed cover closed and still reach in to fill it, but it's just a bit of a stretch.

Have you thought about a blazer tank? Cheaper and easy swap.

I have never heard a bad thing about a Boyd tank. I haven't heard anything about POL's tanks. You should hit up Travis over at AZ Pro Performance, they have a bunch of black Friday sales going on now and are a dealer for them.
