more questions
I'm so close to firing the 67 up after putting the v8 in, just a few things left I'm jot sure about. First is the electric choke wire, I believe po had a wire ran from the same stud on starter as positive battery cable with an inline fuse holder, does that seem ok or any suggestions to doing it better? Next, my truck is not power steering and will have to stay that way for now, the motor has power steering pump installed, can I just remove serpentine belt for ps pump and if so there are 2 so which one or both? And third, on my transmission TH350 if sitting in the driver seat there is a small line coming off down near gas pedal that looks like it would be a vacuum line but I'm not sure?

Re: more questions
Oh...and I got the oil pressure sender off and bought an 1/8" NPT as suggested but that is bigger than the fitting on the end of my line for my mechanical pressure gauge :/

Re: more questions
This should help on the choke:http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=561268
As for the power steering, just remove the belt(s) that drive it. You may have to run a shorter belt for the water pump and alternator depending on the setup you've got. Somebody else can chime in with the rest as I may not give the best answers their.

Re: more questions
The small tube on your trans is a vent make sure it's pointing down and that's it. Don't plug it.
You could get a new oil line at just about any auto parts store And just run a new line (it may be easier). They make 2 differnt kinds of lines plastic tubing and copper I would use the copper but the plastic is fine if you keep it protected. Oh an they will come with all the fittings you'll ever need. They are both reasonably cheap. You could remove the ps pump from the engine to help clean it up. but really only need to remove the belts if it's not being used. Then again if you have any plans too put ps in your truck just remove the belts.
