Wire under seat - 1954 pickup
Anyone know what the wire underneath the seat frame in a 1954 chevy pickup is for? Im assuming this wasnt standard and the dude that had this before me did something funky, but before we seal up the interior with sound proof material I'd like to make sure the wire isnt a ground for something, or anything I want to fix now before I put the seat back in.

Just goes to the wiring harness. Gotta be something the previous owner rigged up. Just wanted to make sure it wasnt stock.

The only wire under my '54 seat is the fuel sender wire.

Re: Wire under seat - 1954 pickup
The large gauge wire you are seeing is for the seat adjuster from the drivers side to the passenger side,,,,,, that one?

Re: Wire under seat - 1954 pickup
It's for the symphonic sound system. The wire is a conductor.

Re: Wire under seat - 1954 pickup
It could be the for the rare optioned emergency ejection seat! Sorry, I don't have any real idea what the wire is for, but I am sure that someone on here does. At least with all of the posts on here with off the wall guesses, it will keep this thread near the top where the "real" experts can see it. Good luck to you.
