Re: who's got Torq Thrust Ds?
does anyone actually have the 15x8.5 Ds on their truck? I am wondering about the backspacing and offset on them.

Re: who's got Torq Thrust Ds?
A visit to Summit Racing site lists the 15x8.5 D's as 3 3/4" backspace.

The rear wheels were 20x10's (AR only make 20x9.5's now). The truck had a Camaro rearend that was narrower,... this allowed for the deep dish on the front side, that's not possible with the truck rearend.

Re: who's got Torq Thrust Ds?
3.5" in the front (2.5" drop spindle and 1" spring) and 5" in the rear. Tires are 255/50/17 on the front and 275/50/17 on the rear.

Re: who's got Torq Thrust Ds?
Where can I order any kind of these style of wheels in 11" or wider? I prefer 18" or 20" rims, but I cant find anyone who can get them anymore..... I need 5x4.75 bolt pattern and as deep off set I can get, I have a narrowed rear end and dont want to go with Weld wheels again.
Thanks! |

Re: who's got Torq Thrust Ds?
I guess the real question should be "who doesn't have them".

Speaking of deep wheels in back and the Camaro rear to allow for it.. anyone know what year Camaro? Was this truck really stolen and was it ever recovered??

Re: who's got Torq Thrust Ds?
I'm running 18x9 5"BS all around with 265/50/18 tires. I may put a set of spacers on the back to bring them out a bit. I wanted a square setup so that I can rotate

Re: who's got Torq Thrust Ds?
Thanks. It is lower, but I don't know how much. Someone along the line cut the front springs. I put a set of drop shackles on as well as removed 2 leafs from the rear to level it out a bit. New suspension coming this winter to sort all of that out.

Re: who's got Torq Thrust Ds?
i've been trying to decide what size TTII's to go with on my '68 fleetside shortbed. im thinking 17x8 in the front and 18x10 in the rear. truck is static dropped 4.5/6
Anybody else running a 17/18 setup? i would like to see what this will look like... or if i need to just go 17x8/17x9.5 thoughts? |
