How to paint emblems using lacquer paint and a hypodermic syringe

Posted this in the 67-72 section but thought it might be useful to the squarebody crowd too...

Cool. That's a great idea and it looks sweet! Same for me. I'd rather use OEM

Such a cool idea.. I went another route when I painted mine and you can see brush strokes if you look CLOSE.

Man that's awesome stuff. I still get blown away by the stuff shared here. I'll admit, I just went to their website looking for an acceptable Ochre. I don't know how it'd play in person, but Fierce N Tangy 230 might pass. Thanks for sharing.

Oh great! Now another thing my wife will have to worry about me getting into! If she catches me going thru her nail polish I'm not sure how I'm gonna explain it-I never thought I'd be shopping for nail polish "with" my wife....this could get interested.

I wonder if you use Testors enamels if the same look can be achieved....? I'd be in favor of clearing the whole thing afterwards so the emblems edges don't start to pit/peel from moisture attaching them.

I've tried modeling enamels in th epast and they will work, but not very well. They are usually too thick to apply with a needle so you have to brush them and they always show brush strokes. Plus they don't hold up over time, even for a car stored indoors the enamel tends to crack over the years.
