Four gen camaro sub frame in 55 2nd gen

Hello
Anyone ever heard of putting a sub frame out or front end out of a four generation camaro for 1999 because the track width is the same 60.5 ?
I know the tird one is common done but why not the four?
Am I missing something?
Thanks

Re: Four gen camaro sub frame in 55 2nd gen

A gen 4 Camaro does not have a usable or removable subframe as far as being able to swap the pieces over to a truck as is done with Gen 1 or Gen 2 will.

Gen 3 and later Camaros have what amounts to a unibody with the suspension pieces bolted on and both use struts that mount up into what amounts to the inner fender.

Outside of the spindles, brakes and rack and pinion this is what you have for Gen 4 suspension. This being performance pieces from Jegs. http://www.jegs.com/i/Chevrolet+Perf...4TpBoCpg_w_wcB
