Re: WTB Lights and harness for rear (Barden) step bumper
Found four harnesses at the salvage yard today so I'm set. If anyone needs one of these harnesses I'd do $12 shipped.

Re: WTB Lights and harness for rear (Barden) step bumper
Pics for primet.
The clip next to the splice connector attached the harness to the bed. From a mid-70's truck but same style as earlier.

Pete,
Did you find your license lights? I have just this one. It is painted silver on the outside. Part number on the box is 918557. John |

Re: WTB Lights and harness for rear (Barden) step bumper
Pete, reviving an old thread here, but I have a question. I'm going to try an install of that style light in my truck step bumper. The bumper has holes that are to small for them now. Can you tell me what size they are in that bumper you posted? Does all of the light mount on the outside of the bumper? I bought 2 replacment lights and I don't want to mess up and original bumper.

Re: WTB Lights and harness for rear (Barden) step bumper
Just measured one and it's ~2" diameter hole. It's the silver housing (shown above) that's outside the bumper, remainer inside. I'd cut a 2" hole in a test piece of cardboard first. What are using to cut the bumper hole?

Re: WTB Lights and harness for rear (Barden) step bumper
Thanks for the info. It looked like everything mounted to the outside of the bumper and I wasn't sure. Sometimes it's the simple stuff that trips you up... My thought for the hole is to drill the holes for the mounting screws and then bolt a plate behind the bumper. Then I can use a hole saw to enlarge the existing hole. The funny thing is the 2 holes on either side are not the same size. One is 1" and the other is 1.5".

Re: WTB Lights and harness for rear (Barden) step bumper
You bet - I'd post pics but the old bumper is w my younger brother in TX. I kept a spare rear step but don't have lights installed at the moment.
