Power steering parts?
Hello gentlemen, I just picked up another dump truck to use on the farm and I didn't realize until I drove it home that it has power steering. Are these systems hard to source parts for? Should I just swap it with non power stuff from another truck i'm looking at? Its a 1972 GMC 5500 w/350. Thanks guys.

Re: Power steering parts?
Nothing that exotic that can't be sourced in the Cleveland area.................but in your case , I'd think Tulsa has vendors just as good . You just gotta think of vendors that handle medium and HD truck parts .

Clayton
I found a replacement seal kit for the metric Saginaw in my 79 C60. The local parts stores couldn't find anything for it but I found a number on Rock auto's parts list that worked. I also found a company that overhauls most of the larger truck units, If your still looking. hh |

Abus, thanks
I never would have imagined Rock auto. Tonight I will fire up the old girl and put fluid in her and see where it's spraying. Hopefully its just a hose but I'll holler at you if I need the info on where to get something major overhauled. |
