1960 Wiper motor Question

Is there a wiper motor upgrade that can be retro fitted on the 1960's
The single speed is not efficient ( at least in my opinion) for todays driving.
Has any one installed a different year in theirs?

Single speed and Rain-X work great for me.

Re: 1960 Wiper motor Question

I used one made by New Port Engineering
https://www.newportwipers.com/produc...0-66&make_id=2

It is a 2 speed wiper with the option to be intermittent also. I am very happy with it. The speeds seem to be quicker than the stock 2 speed style from the 65/66 years.

I got kit from Brothers, but probably several vendors sell them

Re: 1960 Wiper motor Question

Someone here on the forum did this upgrade but unfortunately I don't remember who it was. I do not know of the needed switch will be available in the future, but this looks like an interesting upgrade to me.

You could also upgrade to a 2 speed wiper motor from a '61(?)-'66 and add the delay switch available here on the forum from member twouvakind.

Re: 1960 Wiper motor Question

I think 60-62 wipers are different than 63-66. my 61 mounts different and the hole is even different.

Re: 1960 Wiper motor Question

Either an adapter plate could be made or the factory mount could be changed.

Edit: Here is the thread where I found info on the later model wiper motor conversion. The actual info is in his build thread on the C10 forum. There is a link in post #1.
