Exhaust Options

I am looking for a complete exhaust system from the manifold back for my 60 SWB Fleetside, 235 with columnn shift. Anyone have recommendations for manufacturer, vendor etc...? Thanks.

I'd just go to the local muffler shop and have one made. More than likely will be cheaper and you can pick a different muffler to. Flowmasters sound Sweet on these 6 bangers.

I just had the muffler shop do my exhaust from headers back. I went with Flowmasters 50Delta series, they didn't get my 50's in so they put in the Original 40's in for a week and it was loud. I didn't really like it, and when my 50's came in I had them installed and now it's nice. I have a sbc 350.

V8's actually sound alot different than the 6 cylinders. Especially under hard acceleration. My 292 would get really loud at 4000 RPM. And my 305 V6 gets really loud at 2500 RPM. lol

Mine is just a 6 so I would like it to be "normal" sounding until I get a good plan together. I'm just moving it around in the shop for now but the exhaust will be needed soon.

A nice "turbo" muffler from Dynomax will be good quite throaty sound. Smittys for little old school rasp when reving. I kinda like the Smittys and glass pack on 6

Maybe a stock type muffler. I personally enjoy a quiet ride just cruising along, talking with my wife and listening to the radio. Does that make me old? Another plus to a quiet exhaust is that if your motor/trans are a bit on the (ahem) uncertain side, you can hear any unusual noises.
