Brake problems
So, after installing my new CPP 2.5" drop spindles, my brake line runs directly into my upper ball joint stud. I solved this problem by notching the caliper where the brake line comes in and rotating the brake line fitting. The hose previously entered downwards into the caliper but now enters from the side. After all this, my brake pedal feels weaker at first, but returns to normal under harder braking. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Re: Brake problems
You probably got some air into the lines. You will need to bleed the brakes to get it out.

Re: Brake problems
My brakes are the same. I plan to rebleed them and see what that does

Re: Brake problems
If you guys run into problems bleeding I highly recommend building a pressure bleeder.
I was reluctant thinking I could just pump it out...Not the case once I build a pressure bleeder it pushed a fair amount of trapped air out.

Re: Brake problems
Which one works the best? Did you have to fabricate a plate?

Re: Brake problems
No need to fab a plate. Mine was a 3 piece kit and I don't see it on the site anymore. This one has the plate that is included in my kit and works with most GM Master Cylinders. You can buy different adapters.

Re: Brake problems
gravity bleeding works great and is free if you have some spare nylon tubing

Re: Brake problems
Brakes were bled thoroughly after install, with just gravity bleed. But I will try bleeding them again and see what happens

Re: Brake problems
You can build you own plate. I built mine from a cutting board and used the old gasket from my old MC - the guys on this forum encouraged me to build one after having lots of problems with air in the lines. I rebuild my entire system so more air traps.
If you look at my posts you'll see the Brake Help post
