check out my sub box

I built it out of 3/4 mdf and recessed in the spot for the amp. It fits just right behind the seat. I have a bar that runs on the bottom of my bucket seats that gave me some clearance issues. I really don't want to be sitting in the steering wheel. I put 2 shallow mount rockford fosgate 10 inch subs in it. I also put some kick panel speaker holders in and built a holder for some 3.5 inch speakers in the dash.

Re: check out my sub box

Nice job. Looks like a good fit.should sound awesome.
I made a speaker just like that for the dash in my car it works pretty good.

I used to have a sub box with 2 12" behind the seat in my old standard cab s10 it was a tight fit but
It was great for lower back massages.

I'm guessing you moved your tank to under the bed? I wish I would have seen yours before I started mine, that angle at the top, that clears the mounting tabs for the top of the old fuel tank, would have helped me get mine to fit better.
I had to remove and install mine several times
Until it finally cleared those tabs...p.i.t.a.....
it was.... looks good!

Looks good. I have one of those 10" Fosgate subs for my side-by-side and it sounds great.

Re: check out my sub box

I did move the tank a couple of years ago. It actually fit perfectly the 1st time. I was pretty surprised. I haven't hooked it all up yet to see how it sounds. They sent me the wrong amp, so the correct one won't be here until Thursday.

Your sub box look familiar! Looks great and I like the amp hole to. I should have done mine that way.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Keep a eye on the amp after you use it to make sure it doesn't get to hot. They need good air circulation are they will go into thermal over load.

Re: check out my sub box

Got everything hooked up and rocking today. It sounds great. I don't have an extra 1/8 of an inch. I think I am going to work on moving the brake pedal back next. I hate how far up it sits.

Best I could do on the way to work today. I forgot to take any pictures when I had the seat out. I will take more if I take the seat out again.

Re: check out my sub box

On the brake pedal, there's supposed to be a big rubber stop on the dash side of the travel on a brace that bolts in there. We drove ours for years without the brace, much less the stop. Box looks good!

Not as nice as Kaptain Kadian but it's pretty much the same thing.
I made it as a wedge shape to fit to the back panel and used the upper gas tank mounts to hold it in place. You can see the bolts up top. The shallow subs are necessary to clear the box. It does well for what I like to listen to.

Re: check out my sub box

The only thing I might do differently if I made another one is to put a port coming up through the bottom of the box to hide a little more of the big wires. I still could do it, but not sure I want to mess with it.

Both amps and all the wiring are inside the console. I also put a moffet fan on the back side of it to pull the air out of it to keep the amps cool.
