He's in Lawrenceville. He can probably get what you need. I will get a LS1 from him if I ever get my hands on a 2wd blazer Roadster.

The new generation motors 4.8, 5.3 ,6.0 and up are prone to piston slap on cold start up. The knock lasts about 20 to 30 seconds upoun cold engine start up generally in cold weather. My 02 silverado with the 5.3 doesnt have this problem(42k). It generally occurs within the first 20k miles. For further reading on the subject chevy talk.com 99 and up truck forum.

I already read up on it. I own a 2004 2500LD with a 6.0. 6000 miles and no slap yet.

If ANY $40,000 vehicle I bought developed piston slap within 20K, they would either replace the motor, or replace their showroom window after I'd drive it through it!
