Custom Autosound
Hey out there, I'm looking to put a stereo system in my rig. anyone have recent experience w/this Company/Brand. It looks pretty nice and stays with the classic look. I'm looking more for how it performs. I'm debating on the whole system speakers and all. Or just the head unit and getting the rest from my local guy. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Jay

Re: Custom Autosound
We had problems with a Mustang Stereo from them. After 2 times returning it we installed a good brand in the glove compartment.

Re: Custom Autosound
Have to say, I'm good with mine. It's "ok". For something to listen to and not have to cut up the dash it's worked for me. Decent sound, but nothing great.

Re: Custom Autosound
X2. I had one in my old 72, and it worked fine. If you are an audiophile however, you will hate it.

Re: Custom Autosound
Mine worked good for about the first month, now it has fits and wont want to turn off or adjust the volume. Only a matter of time before it fly's out the window!

Re: Custom Autosound
I've never heard of the Mike Hagen radio. It seems to be pretty high in price how does it compare? I still wonder how retrosound compares. Anyone running it?

Re: Custom Autosound
I have had USA630 for four years. POS. trouble with volume, tone, balance. Most of time they don't work. Also USB won't read most of songs I load. They work everywhere else. I am buying retro sound.

Re: Custom Autosound
Search Gary Tayman radio conversion. He can take am radios and convert them to am/fm with Bluetooth and other goodies and also can take am/fm and install all new guts. He is a little spendy but when compared to custom auto sound he is WELL worth it. I had a custom auto sound for a few years and each year it got worse, then I picked up an am radio from a swap meet ($10) and sent it to him and I am still (3 years later) very impressed by his work.
