this sucks!!!
So i finally negotiate a price on 2 boxes of product from a person on this board and sent money. I know what you're thinking but it's not that. They we're very courteous and sent the product out in a timely matter. After 2 weeks go by i decide to track it and find out it was delivered 2 days earlier to the suite next door. Didn't think it was a problem until i went over there and the guy was like," that's my signature but i don't know where they are man."
HOW DO YOU LOSE 2- 16lb BOXES OF STUFF? So, I call the shipping co. and they tell me the seller has to put in a claim. I told them he had nothing to do with it and they explained that they need a price/value or they would only be only to refund $100. I talked to the seller and he didn't have any receipts as the product was like 6 years old. That's what i paid, but for me to replace the product it's going to cost around $225. THIS SUCKS! looking forward to a good deal and all i got was a headache! AGAIN, not the sellers fault but maybe this should be a warning to insure your shipments for what it would cost to REPLACE IT.

I would have to say that I would get the law envolved also. If he signed for it, then he is liable for what ever happens to it. If he soes have it then he is stealing.

$hitty thing is that i talked to our receiving guys here and we always get stuff for them and take it over there right away, but when they get our stuff we have to go there and ask for it.
I wonder what would happen if i threaten to get the police involved...

yeah, i tried the shipping co. but they'll only refund the worth that the seller puts on it without receipt up to $100 and since i only paid $100 that's what he put down when he shipped it. Problem is to replace this product it'd cost about $225 or so. yeah i got a real good deal! I don't want my $$$ back i want the d@mn product! i have to talk to my HR people before i go raise hell as i don't want to jeopardize anything on our side with any relationships. Besides, they are much better looking than i am and they can probably get the $$$ quicker and with less headache than i can. I'll keep you posted though.

shipping
I agree about the cops as long as it won't risk your job if it screws up a relationship between your boss and the neighbor. I also wanted to point out that UPS will pay 100 per box so it isn't as far off as it sounds on the money end.

I do shipping all fn day! And sometimes a box goes missing for some time and it always turns up buried somewhere or miss places somewhere. Try hunting for it with the guy who signed for it! Maybe he will find it and while looking for it mention the cops and it maybe it will show up amazingly the "next day"!!
Any hoot that sucks! Can't win!
