Smile Looking for lower control arms.

I've been on the hunt for factory style 73-87 lower control arms for a C10 and couldn't find them anywhere? I tried Rock Auto but they don't list any, called to various local auto part stores with no luck and couldn't find anything on Summit or Jegs. Does anyone know where I can find lower control arms with bushings and ball joints?

Thank you

Unless your local dealer can locate some NOS pieces on a shelf somewhere, you looking to the junk yard... or upgrade to tubular...

Re: Looking for lower control arms.

I would go with nice used and then you can go with whatever brand ball joints you prefer. I know here it is easy and reasonable to get items powder coated. The benefit of that is that the finish will last longer than on any of the aftermarket control arms.

Re: Looking for lower control arms.

Search Moog Problem Solver control arms....

Here are the part numbers

RK621269 (Left upper)
RK621268 (right upper)
RK621645 (left lower)
RK621646 (right lower)

All come with new ball joints, cross shafts and bushings. All you need is the bump stops.

Find them here..

http://www.fmmotorparts.com

The lowers are pricey, uppers not too bad. LMC also sells a complete arm for about 160.00 I think but don't know what brand they use.

Thanks, I was able to find RK621269 (Left upper), RK621268 (right upper) through Summit Racing. I still cannot find RK621645 (left lower), RK621646 (right lower) anywhere. I called Federal Mogul yesterday and the part numbers for the lowers are discontinued and there are no part numbers offered as replacements.

I ordered some last week from my local store. I will give them a shout Monday and post my findings. I sure hope that's not the case.

This truck has fought back with everything I try to do to it. Including 1 broken finger on each hand in separate instances. I brought it down off the lift yesterday and heard a loud pop. Leaf spring snapped a leaf. Sheesh.

Did you look at LMC?

Re: Looking for lower control arms.

I just replaced mine on the 82' I'm restoring. Originals had holes rusted through the center. Got lucky and found a 89 Suburban that was rear ended.
Lower control arms were in mint condition. Sandblasted, painted flat black, and installed new Moog ball joints. Good to go.... with minimal cost.

Re: Looking for lower control arms.

The Truck Shop has built up arms, cross shafts, bushings and ball joints, page 117 in their catalog.
