68 C10 original equipment questions
Hello,
I am in the planning stages of my build. I want to take the truck back to factory specifications. I have attached a picture of the options sticker found in my glove compartment. This leads me to my question. My question is what was the original color of the exterior of my truck? The option code says 4500AA - Black. My exterior is red/orange with some sort of black underneath (primer or OE paint) and my interior is black. Which is why I am sort of confused (is my 4500AA code for the interior color or exterior?). |

Re: 68 C10 original equipment questions
Bowtie thank you for the welcome and the link. I didn't know there weren't many black c10 survivors. It's in rough shape but now that I know that, it makes me want to complete it even more. Thanks again!
On a side note I love how helpful everyone is on this forum. |

Re: 68 C10 original equipment questions
Awesome! Thanks guys. Unfortunately I will not be able to start my build until late February early March so keep watch for my build thread.
I now have another question. It says on my option list I I have HD springs. What exactly does this mean? I know HD stands for heavy duty (not high def.) but what is the difference between normal and HD springs? How can I tell the difference between the two? |
