Exactly wha ttopic says...If I put my EGR Valve back on, would my gas mileage go up any?

You can run more advance with an EGR, especially vacuum advance. Advancing the timing increases power, so in the real world, it should increase mileage. But, in another sense, it decreases new fuel intake some because of the recirculated gas, so this may decrease power.

Myself, I don't think it hurts or helps enough to mess with it. About the only thing it does IMO, is make the intake look like crap.

Hmm..if it'd ever stop raining, I'm gonna put in my stock primary jets and see if that makes any difference...

I just recently read an article about emissions, and it said that an EGR would increase low-throttle mpg at highway speeds (obviously by reducing the amount of fuel in the mixture). They indicated it might be good for 1-2 mpg on the highway. I wish I remembered where I read this so I could quote the source.
