67 vent window rebuild kit

Where can I find a kit to rebuild my 67 vent window latch? Everywhere I have looked its 68-72. Or are they obsolete?

Ok I found latches, but no rebuild kit. I need to tighten them up they just swing with no pressure to hold window closed.

Re: 67 vent window rebuild kit

The window swings or the latch ? if it's the wing window That's fixed by tightening the spring on the bottom of the vent window inside the door . you have to remove the complete vent window assembly and be very careful to "open" the shaft nut stay and use your favorite flavor of rust buster before trying to tighten the nut as the shafts can break. if it's the latch your missing a convoluted washer

Fact.

Use a pair of channel locks to hold the shaft still while attempting to loosen or tighten the nut. Ask me how I know. Mine twisted right off the vent window frame so I had to fabricate and delicately weld a new one on.

'67 latch handles are all by themselves and nothing is made for them as far as I know.

Tightening the vent window trunion nut will not help your latch problem.
