Plumbing dual tanks and dual compressors
Hi all, So I've read thru this thread and I'm still not understanding.
I have a working setup and want to add another tank for more capacity. I want to do it with buying as few parts as possible (I.E. run one pressure switch, minimum tees, etc). If you knowledgeable folks could look at the following four diagrams and let me know which one will work without the second tank exploding, I'd really appreciate it. Out of the four options I would use either 1 or 4.
Whichever way you chose I would definitely populate both input ports on the manifold, this will give your manifold better flow. Also I would keep from running the compressors hooked to ports of the same tank if the ports are pointed direct at each other like the tank end cap ports do, I was told something along the lines of the compressor pulses would be fighting each other and causing extra strain on the system.

I think number 4 but with only one input from either tank into the VU4 (plug the other input). From what I've been told having only one inlet is more than enough to work the system.
I just finished wiring & plumbing my Accuair e-level setup tonight. Still have to put the wheels on her & drop her on the ground so I can run the calibration, I'll do that sometime tomorrow. Pretty excited to finally run it. |
