I can't speak for the heater box, don't even know if there's a flapper, but I'm guessing not.
The flapper for the Air/Defroster Selector Duct (under temp. control) is probably a bit worn on the end. Mine is, but it's still good. These are a pretty tough piece of rubber. As for the flapper for the Duct Air Selector (aka A/C diverter box), inspect for tears around the hinge. Also, see what it does when you flip the link back and forth. If it doesn't open and close correctly then the flapper is torn up. From what I've seen, I'll be surprised if you have the original box with a good flapper. You can buy a replacement or a brand new GM. I know Classic Heartbeat has the GM.
