'48 Chevy Restomod pick up
Have decided that after driving my restomod '48 for 5 years that it was time to scrap the stock rear leaf springs in favor of air ride. I don't think I ever started a build thread on it though. Started with a complete stock field find '48, ran the 216 for a year with a T 5 behind it, switched to a 283, same T 5, for another 4 years, now 700R4, 69 Nova rear, 3:08 gears, Fatman Fab MII up front, Easy wire harness , 89 Chevy 60/40 bench, stock column, added an Old Air Prod a/c and heat, steelies and moons, Diamondback whitewalls of course, last winter changed stock radiator to a 3 row aluminum with electric fans, 39 Chevy sedan LED taillights, and air ride and TCI 4 link.
Have 4 link in and gas tank repositioned, air tank and valves in and wired, mocking up 1x1 frame for new bed floor height. Tank and compressors will be under floor of bed, rear connected and working, have Fatman conversion for front end to air bags A few pics... Last edited by IndyBowtie; 01-08-2016 at 08:01 PM. |
