68 C10 "Patches"
Well i should have started this a few months ago but we were in the process of moving, having a baby, and I got a new job (after getting out of the Air Force).
This is my first ever build and I have always wanted a 68-72 C10 and I found one on the company website for a decent deal so i decided to buy it. It is in decent shape, the PO replaced both cab corners, rockers, and patched a few rust spots in the floor. The body looks straight but there is quite a bit of bond in a couple of places I have found! The first thing I did was take the 69 front clip off and sold the parts, pulled the motor and tranny (sold them), took the bed off and sold it since I am going fleetside. I will need all the help I can get as I go along, it will be very slow since I work a ton and have 2 little boys that keep my wife and I very busy! My next step is to start doing some work on the cab, I have seen several threads and you guys make it look so easy, its going to be a slow process because I have no idea what I am doing! |
