Hi I'm looking to put subs in 61 c10 and i was wondering where the best place to put them is? Also what kind of subs will fit?

About the only good option is to relocate the fuel tank underneath the bed, then use the space behind the seat.

Use the old tank, in stock location, to build your speaker box/attach sub to???

I don't have the old tank and the new one is in the bed but that's a cool idea!

You should be able to fits pair of 10s or 12s behind the seat. It depends on how much bass you want really. 1 decent 10 will be plenty of bass for most people.

I was going to add that it was not a WWll sub as that would have been to dis-respectable. I also knew that someone would clarify what a sub was.

What has happened to this younger generation??

The new generation is in to video games, and how much "thump" you can get, and how many miles away it can be heard. Us "old school" guys and gals were the only ones that needed to hear our music.

Not so true, I like to "hear" my music AND play it loud sometimes. I go for all out sound systems when I do one. On my last build I had 2 sets of mids, two sets of tweeters, a pair of mid-bass, and a pair of subs. All running off of a 10 way crossover and 5 seperate amps. You couldn't just hear only bass a couple blocks away, you could sing along with your favorite song!
That being said I'm not sure how much bass you need but a dual voice coil 8" sub in a properly tuned and ported box with an amp matching the speakers rated power will normally be plenty. Heck, I did four 6" subs running off a 150 watt competition amp once and everybody swore I must have had a couple 10's!

You could do like BMW does in the new M4 and use the stereo to amplify the exhaust sound....

With tank removed you open a bunch of space up to mount Subs!

Here is mine. Home made box with 2 10" shallow Mephis gold's.
I used the gas tank hold downs to keep it in place.

It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
