when I got my truck it had one on it,i backed it out of the garage one day and smelled gas and looked under the hood. if you don't know the filter will screw apart so you can clean the filter. well mine had loosened up and was leaking gas a little . could of been a different story if I had been out crusin and the manifold/headers woulda been hot..
