Fix for Sagging Map Pocket?

My map pockets have a serious sagging problem. I'm sure there is some kind of elastic band in there that is no longer functioning. Is this something that can be replaced easily (no sewing) or am i going to have to take it to someone? The material is in pretty good shape and I'd rather not replace it with some aftermarket junk.

I've yet to pull it apart, just thought I'd post it here first in case anyone has done this before.

Sounded like a good idea to me so I kept it in mind.

Not sure myself if you'd need to do any sewing for the replacement but I remember in his picture, the elastic was stapled to the back.

I just removed the pockets, removed the staples from the elastic strap on the back side of the pocket, stretched out the elastic, restapled the elastic straps, reinstalled the pockets. They are not as flexible as the original condition, but it does take up the gap. I rarely use them anyway. I suppose you could buy new elastic from a fabric store. These pockets are just a hadboard backing attached to the door panel. I think you can remove them without removing the panel.
