69 GMC 2500 Fenderside
New to the forum guys. Like the title says I have a 69 GMC 2500 fenderside truck that is a v6 with a 127" wb. 2wd. Do I put it back to factory or do a custom truck? I have been looking and don't see very many of these with a v6 out there.

My 68 was a 176" wheelbase 1 ton dually motorhome when I got it. It's now a 115" wheelbase 1 ton dually short bed step side. You can go 100% custom, original, or anywhere in between. Whatever floats your boat. Pic of my before and after for inspiration (hopefully).

It's pretty rough right now. don't know about pictures being enjoyed lol. Someone put a hillbilly looking wood bed on it, so I need to find a bed for it. It's pretty complete other than the bed. cab is a little rusty, but for 46 years old what can you expect. I will post some pictures as soon as I take some.

Welcome to the neighborhood!
What are your ideas first? How much money do you have to spend? We can assist you in spending your money if you like! I would get it running good, drive it for a while and see where I wanted to go with it. Bill

Keep the V6 for sure. Those are rare enough I think they're cooler than a big block (and I have a big block).

Re: 69 GMC 2500 Fenderside
Last thing I drove was my 73 dart a few years ago. I have seizures and I don't drive anymore. I really just got it for a project. pass the time, maybe make a little money. It's a good running truck. it drove from New Martinsville, WV to Columbus OH without any problems. Money is all relative, you can get the parts cheaper some places than others. metal work and paint are cheap if you know what you are doing. Buy some Mopar parts, these Chevy and Gmc parts are relatively cheap in comparison. Do a 69 super bee and see which parts are cheaper. I doubt i will need help spending any money, i have children for that lol.
