Re: 66 Pro Street build

Here is the X member and the start of the exhaust fit up. I still have to build the transmission but I want to get the engine fired and run it through the break in. I will have to change out the valve springs when we are finished with the break in so we will build the trans then.

Re: 66 Pro Street build

A quick shot of the power plant I am running in this one. 355 Chevy small block, forged and balanced crank, pistons and rods, AFR 195 cc intake runners with 205 stainless intake and exhaust valves with 75cc combustion chamber in the heads, comp blower cam, comp gold roller rockers and a GMC 6-71 blower reworked by DYERS. I am running 8 lbs of boost with MSD ignition and 2, 750hp holleys. The headers are Dynatech 1 3/4" steped to 1 7/8" with 2 1/2" exhaust. The trans is a th 400 with 4:11 gears. I really like the look of my Harley engine with the black wrinkle finish and chrome so I decided to do the engine in the truck the same.

Re: 66 Pro Street build

WoW! great work.....Your fabrication skills are top notch and those exhaust tips are excellent example of you skills but.......since you asked for an opinion, the statement your making with that build is all business and a large diameter single tip peeking out from under the step would make the statement. Opinions are like assh*les, everybody has one.....
