fuel line?

i got out this afternoon and tried to start my truck, after replacing the sparkplug wires i was getting spark but if i primed the carb it would try to start but would not go, now i found out that the carb is not getting gas how do i get fuel up into the line and to the carb. i did disconnect a part of the line and discovered that i am not getting fuel into the line, do i just need to take the gas cap off or what.

That or a clogged filter. not much else to look at onless you have a 20 gallon puddle under your rig.

GOT GAS IN THE TANK ???
if you take off the supply line to the fuel pump and blow it back to the tank ,it could be that the strainer in the tank pickup is clogged
OR there's a length of rubber hose under the back part of the cab where the line comes out of the cab floor they tend to dryrot
