Re: Drop kits
I would stay away from McGaughys and when I bought drop coil springs from LMC Truck for my '74 LMC sent me McGauphys parts. By the way something is fishy about McGauphys as they call themselves Switch Suspension now.
If you call LMC Truck and talk to their Catalog Jockeys (not Tech Support staff) they will tell you that they can't tell you what brand LMC Truck parts are. good luck |

http://www.mcgaughys.com/chevyhighperformance1.html They sell quality lift and lowering products. Switch Suspension is just a dealer for them. http://www.switchsuspension.com Persoanlly I wouldn't buy anything from LMC. Most of their stuff is junk OR overpriced products you can get elsewhere cheaper.

Re: Drop kits
I agree with Summit Racing..
Drop spindles are heavy and expensive to ship. They often have free shipping. I always use Belltech on 73-87 trucks. Spindles, springs, shocks, and flip kits. McGaughy's or Western Chassis are good also. Belltech and Western Chassis also make a very nice bolt-in C-notch. Not cheap like DJM.

Re: Drop kits
I have always done well piecing a kit together and you can save a little. The spindles are the most expensive item so shop around. I agree with the rest don't buy McGaughy's that is the only one I ever had an issue with. Know what size rotors you have, 1.00 or 1.25 and start looking. This place has Belltech spindles for 311.00 with free shipping but didn't specify rotor size. Check your local auto parts guys might cost a little more but if anything goes wrong you know where to go with your issue.

Re: Drop kits
Really it was just the overall casting compared to others. I had to grind a bunch of material off the caliper mount area and I just remember I wasn't real pleased. I bought a set of their lowering coils and they were a joke. Way way too soft, truck bounced like crazy. Went to a set of stock six cylinder spring and cut them and that worked perfect. I'm sure their stuff is ok for the most part just the only manufacturer that I've bought lowering stuff from and had issues. i will say that was a long time ago, heck maybe they've improved. Their spindles are priced right, I'm just not sure I'd buy them again..

Re: Drop kits
Not to get off topic but I've ran McGaughys on 2 of my trucks with no issues. I like Belltech the best. If you are running 15x8 rally wheels on the front your best bet is Western Chassis. You could also get the rear flip kit in our classified section for about 40 bucks shipped. I haven't ran then myself to give you any feedback though.

Re: Drop kits
Question about the shocks posted. It says it's a kit does that mean it's all 4 included in that price? Or is it 165 x 4?
