I assume it is for a 4x4. Have you checked over on pirate4x4.com. I've seen them for sale used there before.

Rancho 9000's
See this ad I just got for new ones. It seems like specs on 9000's might be overkill for 2 wheel drive.
http://www.4wheelparts.com/product2....NSHOCKS&cat=SK I bought a very nice set of Monroe gas shocks (maker of Rancho) for under $100 a few months ago.

Overkill?
I hope not. I am pulling around a 3000# camper and I want stability. |

4 wheel parts is okay but since they are in California too I have to pay tax. I went to Sam's Offroad site and he has the cheapest.
BTW, where did you hear Monroe makes Rancho's? I have never seen nor heard of that before. |

Was talking to a Rancho rep a couple of years ago at Indy and he told me that one of the companies makes shocks for about 4 or 5 different conpanies. I'm getting old so forgive my forgetfulness...

I have RS 5000's on my truck, talk about plenty of stiffness on the front end! I got mine through Oreillys but i can't recall the price on them. My truck is just 2wd as well, stock height. I kinda think those are a little too stiff for me, but ill give it a year and see what happens!

Tenneco
A little research to follow up some comments I made and had info. I had been told.
Both Monroe and Rancho are products sold by parent orgainization Tenneco. They are each aimed a certain portions of the market. Monroe towards the OEM side, Rancho towards the aftermarket side. Tenneco has in the past few years gotten auto manufacturers to use some Rancho shocks and suspension on certain new trucks and ? I do know the off-road package available on some new 2003 Fords. Years ago Monroe was an OEM porduct on some cars and maybe still is. From what I have seen though many new cars have generic blakc shocks made by ? I have also been told by some shock dealers that other shocks are made my Monroe and stamped with sellers brand. I think Les Schwab shocks are one (they maybe Gabriels or Monroes). See link to Tenneco info. http://www.tenneco-automotive.com/ov...financial.html
