steering column mounted holster

What is anyone using for a steering column holster in their 1966 1/2 ton? am interested in carrying my pistol when driving, but want it concealed as much as possible. Thanks in advance

Re: steering column mounted holster

Instead of mounting it to the steering column, bend a piece of 20 or 18 gauge sheet metal at a 90-degree angle--one part of it tall, the other side of the bend short. Mount a holster to the tall side, and short bolt the flange to the floor right in front of your seat, behind your right knee. Orient it so it runs parallel to the seat: side-to-side, not fore/aft.

It's out of the way, out of sight, and quickly accessible.

Incidentally, that's also an excellent place to mount a small fire extinguisher, for those not wanting to mount your gun holster there.

Just don't leave your weapon in your truck if you get out and your passenger isn't licensed to carry.

Check the state laws. Georgia is an Open Carry state, so it wouldn't matter.
Plus, a passenger wouldn't be carrying it, the passenger would be in the same vehicle as the gun... not typically a crime unless you're a convicted felon.
