What motor in a 69 3/4 ton?

It's a 2wd truck, has a V8 and a 4spd, it should be a 350 right, if it's in a 3/4 ton truck. I know its a small block, but I don't know if they had 305's back then or what. The owner is asking $950, and the truck appears to be in good shape, straight body, clean interior, clean engine compartment. I know it needs a front bumper, but otherwise looks complete. Gonna call today and see if I can take it for a spin. I need it to be a 350 though, got a 4 horse trailer to pull, and dont wanna do it with anything less.
TIA

Syco, I looked at that truck the other day, would be surprised if the original motor wasnt a 350 in a 2500, but who knows whats in it now, looked decent though(needs pass fender). If you have time today go to Meridian, sitting in front of Meridian machine is a gmc 3/4 with a big block auto power brakes and steering $1700 I think, looked decent also but it was at midnight last night, there was also one for sale down by cherry plaza across from albertsons last night. The big block gmc if all original has some value in my opinion, heck the parts are worth plenty, you would have a potential towing machine, and give the gas guy of your choice some college money for his kids, maybe you could get in it for around $1500, good luck, later

If it is original it would either be a 350 or 307. Look on the glovebox option sheet, if the second letter of the VIN is E, and it says nothing of engine options on the sheet, it would have been a 307 truck. If it says 350 CID V8, you of course have an original 350 truck. No way to guarntee that it hasn't been swapped out in the over 30 yuears since it was made though.

I went and talked to the owner today, said it was a 350 4 bolt main, rebuilt not too long ago. It runs good, has a 4:11 rear end in it too. Told my sister, and she ended up buying it. She was looking for something cheap to get around in , but I think she will probably put some money into it, as she seemed to like it a lot.

Hope she has fun in it!

With those 4:11s she's at LEAST going to get around to a lot of gas stations!
